... re still covered. I couldn't figure how to tie it so that it wouldn't fall off while running, so I finally just gave up and carried it. Of course it stays on perfectly well while walking. I guess this just means that countries where women wear sarongs don't run much.

Got the receipt and got back to the truck about the same time as Mi and Ma. I only brought the receipt, sunscreen, my phone, my little wallet, my nice purple towel and my room key ...

"Is that a disguise after your heavy drinking session last night?" I asked innocently. Seconds later Yah the guesthouse owner crept up behind me and smothered my jowls with white paste accompanied by a laughing "Happy New Year" As I casually strolled outside Yah threw a bucket of water over me. So began ...

... it was incredibly helpful. We have been in Thailand two days and so far I have had four phat thais and have no intention of stopping. The som tums have been great too as have the banana shakes which seem to be ubiquitous. Our hostel was right by the night market which sold excellent cheap food. The main problem with Krabi, and the places that we've visited nearby are the hordes of other people doing exactly the same. I realise that it's silly to complain about too ...
