... on randomly placed facades of wall, some cartoons are painted. We stumbled across a few - Tintin on a ladder, near the Manneken Pis. A large fat character near the Galeries St Hubert and a further cartoon nearer the station. Don't know a lot about cartoons, but they were a bit random! ... went for a walk down Avenue Louise. This end of the Avenue is a bit grotty - dirty, uneven pavers, etc. We walked down a side street and found a SIM card for Slasher's phone - lots of young people sitting at bars. We were able to catch a tram back up the street which was handy. We showered for dinner when we got back. ... least once where I looked at Sarah and said 'what the heck are we doing here?!' haha. Just so beautiful and unique. I am not sure I will get over the awe of Europe..

We all left cold and wet but I was so happy to get a chance to experiene some tradition with friends! Looking forward to spending more time with Maryke and her family! :)
