After Trier, we headed to Cologne to see the cathedral. Cologne is a big city and we had a heck of time finding the parking and then lugging our stuff into the hotel--a little stressful :). ... many miles on the tram and underground, the lady on reception explained where to get on and off the tram and the timetable (every 20 mins) the station was only 5 mins walk from the hotel front door and a tram was waiting to depart when I got there.

... it seemed to go ok but I realised later that for such a short I break I needn't have paid for extra luggage, my carry on flight bag was big enough for my needs and could probably last 5 - 6 days with what I can pack into one cabin bag.

... It gives you a history of not only chocolate but a lot of the spices through the years. They also have a tropical rain forest where they have some of the plants growing. We saw a cocoa plant, banana tree, palms, mango trees and vanilla plants. The best of course was the fully operational chocolate factory where you can see it being made. Oh and the huge chocolate fountain where free samples are given. Yum! I did have some restraint and only bought a couple of things. You ...
