It was then nearing lunch time and so we headed for one of the local restaurants to try a local food which had been recommended it us. It is called Kybyn and is very similar to a Cornish pasty and served piping hot. It was good but doesn't come close to ...

... space. The 1h 30 min journey to Vilnius was pleasant, only a little bumpy stop-start coming out of Kaunas. Arriving in Vilnius bus station a local pointed us in the direction of old town from which we used our map to make our way to our hostel. Paupio Namai is set off the main road and surrounded by grass and trees. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and showed us to our room. The room is large with a small balcony. The bathrooms ...
