... Our passports weren't even checked at the border. Secure. As we disembarked at Antwerp, Ian decided that he no longer needed his underpants, outer daypack or our washing powder and left them on the train. Hopefully a needy Belgian is making good use of them. After utilising one of Antwerp Centraal's handy storage lockers, we meandered to the outside of the station to find Antwerp Zoo. ... As it was sunday, everything was closed so we spent most of the day outside wandering around, and most of the evening trying to dry off and thaw out.
The next day we quickly toured the (closed) Great Market and the Church that was right outside our apartment. It was raining so we made it quick!
We only had one full day here, so we packed our bags, threw on our rain gear and headed to our next adventure.

... up with my trusted travelbuddy Kale in Slovenia to head to Ukrain together. Ukrain will be our Christmas / New years destination (I think), which should be quite promising as we are meeting up again with the TIU Terry brigade (some of you might remember them from the stories of our trip to Ukrain last year).
However, as always - plans are prone to a lot of sudden and random changes, so what will actually happen... we'll see!
