      ... visited. Over the past 50 or so years, many of the lowlands have been drained, and towns have sprung up as part of planned developments. As a result, a majority of the homes look "new".       Enjoyed the sunshine, rain and the clouds but not cold. Three seasons in one day but still managed a walk in the morning.       ... continued about getting lost in the city, taking pictures of anything that I happened to find interesting or "foto worthy". As I was walking down the street with my camera around my neck, an older gentleman from Holland approached me and commented on my camera. It turned out he had the same camera with the same lens.       ... I know what Norwegian sounds like…). I’ve realised that I dislike praline chocolate (which is what the Belgians are known for) and their Belgian waffles aren’t anything special. We tried their fries (friets) with mayo and they were pretty decent. Their cities (with the exception of Brussels – which was horrid) are picturesque complete with gothic charm and modern beauty.

      ... the seedy-looking guys started to migrate around her area. Perhaps it's just my dimples that work on girls, but a quick smile, a wink and a pat of my chest to say "don't worry, I'll look after you" made her relax. I asked if she spoke English and I know she asked if I spoke Spanish. We're outta luck on this one, but at least she's not frightened.
