My terrace is off of my bedroom. In the morning I like to go out on my terrace and watch the people go by on the street below and watch them stop and lookup at and admire my Xmas decorations - my great artistic Xmas creation....
On December 8, in Mexico, they celebrated the conception of Mary (mother of Jesus)

... It is a 20 minute walk, a hard walk, from my place in San Miguel, to Cento.
It is a 10 minute walk, an easy walk, from Centro to my place in San Miguel,
and no heavy breathing is involved,
Walking downhill is much faster and easier than walking uphill..

It is St. Nicholas Day today! So just like at home, my kids put out their shoes and boots for a visit from Old St. Nick. Yes, he made it to Casa del Quijote! (It was a slow morning because they all stayed up late last night watching the NBC remake of "The Sound of Music").

Today, we had a challenging morning. We got locked out of house taking Valaria home. Ugh! We were on our way to Starbucks and church. Luckily, after a call to Greg, Francisca met me at the house and we were all good! Thomas gave her a hug (and so did I).. he loves her and she is very sweet to him. He loves when she can babysit him.
... all the kids from our party got more candy! There were even altars and marigolds (flower of the dead) set up all over the Centro for Day of the Dead which starts tomorrow.
A large group of kids from our school was gathered in the gazebo at the Jardin. Katie, Caroline and Thomas all danced with their friends.. Who knew, Thomas loved break dancing in the gazebo.. a popular thing here in San Miguel. It was a festive night!
