      When Caroline arrived home, quite exhausted from her day, we all went to Lucer**** for dinner... it is a outdoor food court. And yes, there is a McDonalds up there. Katie had her nails done with Grandmommy while Caroline and Thomas had some arcade time. We also scheduled Caroline's 10th birthday at the Nail Lounge. She is having the girls from her class for a birthday party here in San Miguel!

      ... br> The site was built by the Otomí Indians around 500 B.C. and was inhabited until around 1500 A.D. It was a ceremonial grounds for Otomi priests, and not a residential area. We heard that this was a place of the gods and ancestors. It was the house of 13 heavens, a significant number, to the Otomi. From the height of the largest pyramid, one can (supposedly) see thirteen mountain peaks, but I am not so sure about that... there are so many mountain peaks ...

      It has been a quiet week after all of the festive days of last week... Greg left early Sunday morning. That day, we went La Gruta hot springs for a leisurely afternoon with my friend Rebecca and the kids. Katie, Caroline, Thomas and Miller all had a good time; they played for hours in the hot pools, warm sun, and slept so well Sunday night.       ... a zombie, Thomas was a skeleton and Caroline stuck with her Pink Lady costume. Of course, the morning dance was colorful and the students danced to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" in the courtyard to start the day. The site of all the dancing students in costume was so fun. Ruben, the dance teacher, is so energetic.. all the parents present enjoyed the exuberance!
