    This hotel is very much suited to budget travellers - the building is a bit dated, and it's shared facilities...but the private rooms are extremely comfortable, the location is excellent, and the staff are really amazing - so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!!

    not the best but good enough on a budget, staff are very helpfull and the hotel is very near the MCG and Tennis

    ... thousands in the city for their incredible fireworks which are set off all down Yarra River. Was a spectacular night accompanied by a lot of bar hopping and lots of Merryness ;) Whilst on the topic, Melbourne has some great nightlife. As we were based more out in the country, we only went out a few times. One time was with our friend Tory we met in Fiji. Went went for a few cheeky cocktails in a buzzing bar called Asian Beer Cafe.     ... buildings that the rest of the CBD hadn’t shown us. Melbourne was finally getting an identity other than just a uniform (and cold) city.

    One part did disappoint us though - Hosier Lane. We had heard this whole lane was covered in street art and having seen some images online we were keen to see it. Unfortunately the street art had just been ruined by normal grafitti. No-one cares about seeing some idiots ‘tag’ yet these covered ...
