Aika liikkua taas eteenpäin. Bussi Riikaan maksoi vajaat 15 euroa ja matka kesti viitisen tuntia. Viihdykettä matkalle toi melkein koko viisi tuntia takapenkillä rääkynyt kakara, jota vanhemmat eivät tuntuneet saavan millään hiljaiseksi. Aavistuksen verran rasittavaa. ... imagine the rural areas of the country haven't caught up much yet, but everyone seems fairly enthusiastic with the way things are going. People look good (especially the young women who seem to wear high heels and short dresses no matter the occasion), everything works, it feels safe and Josefa found a really nice Russian Doll for her collection. Now, with a better sleep and a good dose of Riga Black Balsams, we should handle another big day tomorrow easily.

... for weekend breaks, I do not feel safe. I couldn't think of a worse place to be trapped, waiting on the arrival of a card so that I could get some money to get away (or a worse hostel for that matter - party hostels really aren't much fun if you have no money to play with). I've barely left the hostel today, and even then kept a hand on my money at all times. I'm glad I'm leaving this city and this country tomorrow, and I don't think I've ever felt like this before.
