City Trelew

Headed to Trelew for the famed dinosaur museum, (not quite sure why it´s famous but<br>it was cool anyway) and then to Gaiman, the Welsh settlement for the<br>most expensive tea and cakes I´ve ever had! After that we headed back<br>to Trelew to catch a bus to Neuquen and then onto Junin de los Andes as<br>it had been recommended by Reuben at the farm and a few others.

... de speaker met ´technico´ ofzo, mmm.... In het reisbureau hadden we nog zitten grappen over stoelen 13A en 13B: lucky numbers. Of toch niet? Oke... gewoon door blijven ademen. Waarom vliegt de piloot continu onder een lichte bocht naar rechts trouwens? Zou er iets met de motor zijn? Later bleek dat de voorruit gebarsten was. Das niet zo goed voor de piloten, aangezien het buiten min 50 of 60 graden is. Kijk, ik had heus wel het vliegtuig zelf ...

... thins Gaiman did have was an excellent pub or a cervezaeria, or as we`d call in the UK a Beereria! And to top that off it served good cider! After our slightly disappointing trip to the welsh villages we visited to Dinosaur museum in Trelew. Its expensive at 40,000 peso but def worth it and it is also in English! Loved it. Sadly thats all for Trelew and the Welsh Settlements. Off to spot Orca in Puerto Madryn! (Caroline will take over from here in the next one!)

... 300meter bij de kust vandaan dus we hebben hoop. Inmiddels begint ons ook op te vallen dat de afstanden tussen de verschillende stops tegenvallen en telkens twee uur duren. Twee uur in een minibusje hobbelend en opgevouwen tussen een wiel en een fransman is nog niet zo heel erg, maar het uitzicht is werkelijk verbluffend! Steppe, steppe steppe. Daar doe je niets aan. Zeker niet als er voor werkelijk alles wat leeft en voorbij komt wordt ...

... Na veel gedoe en werk met handen en voeten zaten we rond 15 uur in de bus naar Puerto Madryn. STINKEN die bus, niet normaal! En daar zit je dan, wetende dat je er 12, 5 uur in moet zitten... Half 4 ´s nachts kwamen we aan, helemaal gebroken natuurlijk, van het zuurstofgebrek. We namen een taxi naar het hotel en wat bleek? De reservering was niet doorgekomen en we hadden geen kamer geboekt. Cas moet toch nog een beetje werken ...

... have kind of a nursery type setting where you will see numerous babies and only a couple of adults watching out while the parents are out foraging for food. It really is a wonder to see. The tour guide explained how they return year after year (they live about 25 to 35 years) to the same nest and continue on with the same mate for their entire lives. ... a morning coffee. This 1920s hotel has a huge wooden bar which houses a giant collection of ancient bottles. There are large mirrors and there are old postcards and pictures decorating the walls. Gentle music plays in the background which we soon realise are church hymns. The hotel has an oldy wordly feeling and it feels as though we are stepping back 30 years in time.
