Oslo turns out to be an absolutely horrible city to drive in. However, we get to the Viking Ship Museum without much trouble. Directly through the park and into the parking lot, then into the museum. It's a 10 minutes walk from Oslo S to the Hotel (Best Western Hotel Bondeheimen).

We arrive in Oslo a little less than two weeks after the terrible massacre that left more than 70 people dead, most of them children. The centre of the city is strewn with the remains of the roses people here carried during the various remembrance ceremonies.
