I cherished every minute that the plane was still on the tarmac, cause I was still on African soil. Once we were in the air, I knew every second was taking me further away from my friends. We got the affroagata - chocolate sponge cake, vanilla ice cream, drunken cherries, whipped cream, and then warm espresso dumped on top. That coupled with the wine we bought earlier (R60 corkage fee was awesome) we were very very very happy. We had intended to go out later, but mike had a call and when I found the bed my full tummy fell right asleep and was not making it to any sort of bar. You can tell that we ...

Today is workers day a holiday in South Africa to represent the working class. Workers day is equivalent to our labor day except workers day started because of the labor strike for shorter work days that got out of hand in Chicago. Strange that it's a holiday for them yet we don’t recognize the event that happened in our own back yard. Since it was workers day all museums and government buildings were closed so we had a tour through a township. Now townships ...
