    Today is World AIDS Day. Since I did Dance Marathon last year at BW (some of you pledged money and donated to pediatric AIDS so that I was able to dance for 12 hours so thank you!)     Today is workers day a holiday in South Africa to represent the working class. Workers day is equivalent to our labor day except workers day started because of the labor strike for shorter work days that got out of hand in Chicago. Strange that it's a holiday for them yet we don’t recognize the event that happened in our own back yard.     TIA - "This is Africa"... the line of the day from our tour guide, Mike, as we visited the Langa Township today. The city of Cape Town and many other countries were shut down today in honor of Worker's Day. Which is a national holiday here and most businesses, the university and tourist attractions are closed in observance.
