... beautiful statues. At this point the winds become very strong and our plans of outdoor dining change. Fortunately a very helpful waiter at Rivoire on the Piazza secures us a spot inside even though it is usually not used for dinner. Italians love small children, and Madalene and Drew charm our server, Antonio. We have a great dinner and Antonio made sure that Madalene and Drew are well cared for. It’s back to the hotel after a long but fun day!

Pitti Palace, which was formerly the residence of the grand-dukes of Tuscany and later of the King of Italy, now houses collections of paintings and sculpture, works of art, porcelain and ...

We booked a six hour wine tour with a company called Florencetown. It was great! We stopped at two wineries in the Chianti region. At the first one, Principe Corsini - Villa le Corti, we toured the wine cellars and had three different kinds of wines, with 3 different cheeses, bread, balsamic vinegar and virgin olive oil.The grounds were beautiful, they had a garden with rosemary, lemons, roses and a great view. The second one had a ...

Also discovered a replica bill wallet that Darryl had purchased from Peade for 195 euro Walked through Santa Maria Cathedral with audio then climbed to the top of the dome which revealed a 360 degree view of Firenze and was well worth while. ...
