      ... the right hand on the statue looked disproportionate to the rest of the statue (it's too big!). I'll post a pic and you can decide for yourself. The David statue is the showpiece of the museum. Michaelangelo started his craft here (took an apprenticeship at school) in Florence to the disappointment of his father. He thought crafting (it wasn't called sculpting then) was beneath the family roots.

      May 4 - This is truly our first day of from sightseeing. Sticking around hotel, boring ourselves to death as Des has finished his puzzle book and I have only a few pages of the only book I have left to read on this trip to go.
