... out to pick up a paper and some bbq charcoal for tonights BBQ, whilst Sarah finished off the bathroom cleaning. Just as we finished and settled down to a cup of tea our neighbour popped in with some freshly baked olive bread......it was really lovely. Had a small piece but saved the rest to go with supper tonight. Jobs done and as we were hot and sweaty we headed to the pool for a cool off...no one around so we had it all to ourselves. Did the obligatory 20 lengths and sat ...
... time for bed.
Sat 27th June - Cicadas woke us up just after 7am so time for a cup, of tea and a sit on the patio.Breakfast of boiled eggs and toast plus fruit juice. Suitably refreshed we headed to the supermarket and veg stall to do a little shopping, we tend to shop every couple of days and buy fresh stuff a lot. Came home via the DVD shop after making a few selections. Unpacked, cup of tea and then sat down to watch The Boyhood......a long film which started slowly but ...
... to have supper indoors, lovely stifado, bulger wheat and salad finished off with chocolate brownies and apple pie. Having eaten our fill we retired to the sofas and did a bit of You Tube surfing bring up our favourite pop stars from days gone by.....had a bit of a laugh at the fashions and also the songs! Just after 10pm it was time to turn in and watch the end of a film in bed before lights out.
Mon 8th Jun - We must have slept well as nobody really moving ...
... seen so far! Another set of painters were very busy in the heat painting the outside of another neighbours property - really hard work in the heat, especially as being painted white so the sun bounces off and makes looking at the job hard. Pool lounging done it was a short 50mtr stroll back home for shower and relaxing with a G&T and some nibbles. Supper tonight was spaghetti carbonara and pudding was of course ice cream! Early night as long day tomorrow.
After our walk yesterday it was a lazy start with a cup of tea and a seat on the balcony for a bit of quiet time. Our site gardener was busy tidying up and generally making the communal gardens look nice. He always waves up and says hello plus if you have a bit of private work in your garden, painting or odd jobs he is willing to lend a hand. Whilst sitting quietly Mrs Fox came trotting down the road and up to the balcony. She has not been around for a few ...
