Friday: After landing at KLIA late last night, we took the Express train to the city centre. Feeling like our bags actually had a fully grown adult in them we dashed as quick as we could. From there we jumped in a taxi and headed straight to the Citrus Hotel in Chow Kit - an area we were assured was popular with backpackers who like to mix with the …
Just a little note to say thanks Pey Pey and brother Chris for your hospitality in KL, especially waiting for us so long after our transfer was caught in ridiculous storm induced traffic jam. We also thank u for introducing us to Old Coffee House and Mid Valley Shopping Mall :)
Arrived at KL Airport after a good flight. Clearing immigration took quite some time, not enough counters for a swarm of people arriving all at once.
After a 45 minute bus ride, arrived in KL city and managed to pre-book our train tickets for our trip to Penang and Hat Yai in a few days. Took a taxi to the hotel and by the time we arrived …
Our palatial first class train journey started at the Singapore Train Station at 10.15pm, and delivered us to Sentral Kuala Lumpur at 6.30am, with a couple of stops along the way, numerous interruptions by the first class staff to offer water and sandwiches, and an experience not too dissimilar to our 'cruise' from Christchurch to Auckland (in …
We arrived late into KL. As we were flying in using Air Asia we landed at the Low Cost Terminal which is a good hour by Bus from the centre of KL. The Bus arrived and the first impression we got was that we were in India. This is because the Bus arrives right into the heart of the area known Little India. Our cab driver was Indian and we drove …

Historical Traveler Reviews Citrus Hotel Kuala Lumpur
Decided to stay here for our last night in KL just to check it out.
Walk in rate RM 159 with breakfast, club floor/lounge access.
Hervorragender Service.
My last day at the Citrus hotel and I am convinced that this is the best deal you can get here in KL for your money.
Citrus Hotel is a relatively new hotel in KL. It is currently available at great promotional prices, although I don't know how long it will be offered. A stay in the executive superior room cost me MYR 179 nett, inclusive of breakfast. Wireless internet is offered in all rooms, and this scored the hotel big brownie points from me. Parking space was also provided.
For all intents and purposes, the Citrus Hotel appears to be a nice place to stay.
Outstanding services. My room on the executive floor was great. The executive lounge is lovely, you can relax in the lounge with complementary snacks and access to internet as well. The staff of the Hotel is really courteous, they always have a smile. Well done guys, keep up the good work.
Great Service and Great Food .. I loved the room service menu, some of the best Malaysian food i ate on my trip! The front desk staff are really friendly and the view is incomparable .. my room was overlooking the Petronas Towers..the most afforadable 'room with a view 'in KL ..
