Interesting village where Van Gogh lived the last 70 days of his life & where he is buried. He painted 80 paintings & 100+ drawings during this time! Once again we're having unusually nice weather. Last week it was cold & rainy. This afternoon we are sailing back to Paris... Some are touring Versailles & we will pick them up along the river somewhere. I'm enjoying my panoramic windows open and listening to the birds & ...

We used the last one to connect our clear pipe to our blue pipe to reach a tap, so we need to replace that. And Sue gave us rillettes d'oel and I wanted to get some to take with us. Tomorrow we will go to Tours, the following day in Blois, followed by Orleans. Then Evreux or Dreux and finally Fecamp and Wimereux. Then it's the ferry home to ...

Loire Valley Our trip up north from Carcassonne to Tours in the Loire Valley went well. It took us nearly the whole day - three trains but we made it! Tours is an old town and the main entrance town to the Loire Valley. We had dinner in the old city area with some cool looking buildings. We stayed in a small hotel over night (the first of our trip). It was two adjoining rooms and two bathrooms and very basic. We were all happy that we had been staying ...

... children in the water. Site is gorgeous - the bar area extends onto a lawn with more tables and a humongous canapé / dead posh! And a proper restaurant with full menu. We sat down to have a beer and ended up getting pizza and chips to take back to the tent. Much more chilled out night tonight. One more day then we're really on ...
