... room with sun pouring through the windows. Fougeres is a beautiful town - hilly but so pretty with pretty gardens everywhere. We went out for an early evening walk before dinner. As last night we have dinner in the hotel tonight. The dessert we had last night in Combourg was unlike anything I had seen before , just delicious and spectacular . Unfortunately I didn't have a camera for a ubiquitous meal photo. I will be taking my camera ...

Back to setting our alarm, we woke up a bit earlier than usual and enjoyed our rice pudding, fresh raspberries and banana, and Nespresso breakfast before walking a brisk 20 minutes to the new suburb of St. Servan which is the opposite way from old town. ... we were the first ones to occupy. Very spacious - 2 large rooms, one full bathroom and a separate toilet and hand basin. Despite the spaciousness, don't think we would return because the area is a little seedy. No internet at the hotel so we were told to go next door to the Ibis. Whilst communicating with our cycling friends in Lyon Joy and Pete, with ...

We caught a taxi to St Malo train station then an early train to Rennes. Checked into the superb 5* Balthazar hotel on Rue Marechal Joffre. Recommended. Because we were early our room wasn't ready so we wandered into the town. And particularly the old part. Very old timbered buildings from ...
