    ... I can get the bike up to a reasonable speed on the motorways.

    We had a good night in Rennes at a bar called La Grappe where the landlord, Laurent was very hospitable! Well we did run up a €196 tab after attempting to drink the cocktail list, Absinthe and a load of other daft drinks!!

    Cool misty start but sun soon warming us. Soon passed under railway viaduct. The Villaine is very pretty some steep rocky wooded banks and many small holiday cabins. Good cycling surface by river. We stopped for lunch beer and shop at Bourges des Compte. Stopped 12 Km short of Rennes at 16:30 to read in pleasant evening sunshine. Supper of pasta veg and ...
