Day 13: Bourg-Lastic to Bourges
Another good day's ride with 207km on the clock, interesting roads and scenery first thing, a little less so on the run into Bourges due to the many kilometres of dead straight roads. The weather was kind to us, with only a couple of showers, although we would have been quicker without a headwind.

Big mouth..
The woman who seemed to be running the hotel in Ambert (and probably everything else besides) was a scary one. A real man eater. Slim, in her early 40s, I guess, busy, with black hair and a piercing stare.
She had a very direct manner, which included Nick in her gaze but not me. We reckoned that she entertained the men from the village, but strictly on her own terms.
But the rhubarb jam was dead good.
