PS a very scary night. We were all awoken by a howling creature and we were so scared until it went away!! So after a disturbed night we woke to clear skies, very cold air and a clear sky. We got away early -8.45 to take a advantage of the forecast good weather. With 30 miles under our belts by lunch time we had crossed the last of the Marais. ... at the local betting shop/bar we we're put in touch with a chamber d'hôtel with vacancies for 4 cyclists and two tandems. Sadly they weren't serving evening meals so we had to find a restaurant to eat before coping with our night at the chamber. I can report we have survived the meal and are now just off to bed after shower. Roll on tomorrow. Ps today's wildlife find was 4 deer. Sleep we'll folks, more news ...

... here is absurd. So my first responsibility of the day is to open my (real) shutters on my window. Then it is downstairs to have breakfast. In French the word for "breakfast" is "petit déjeuner" which is no lie. The serving size for breakfast is much smaller than in America. However the quality is amazing.
