      ... be going down the river at 9pm in the dark on a little motorboat by the moonlight to see all the fireflies. I cannot even begin to explain how magical it was.       ... caught up with me. What we saw here was a small Buddha shrine and nothing else.We looked around seeking for a glimpse of a Shivalingham shrine but something else caught our eyes. To our astonishment, we saw more steps leading further up the shrine to nowhere (jungle tracking) and it much was higher and uneven…totally an impossible task for Sheelan!

      Out of nowhere, this dark thug looking man appeared. I sensed that Sheelan was not too comfortable ...

      Cherating on the east coast of Peninsual Malaysia, in the north of Pahang is a quiet little beachside town. At least it is at this time of year.       ... and very little to do. we spent two nights in Kuantan and did very little. on our second day we took a taxi into the main town and spent almost all day inside the main shopping centre. we played pool and went to the cinema as well as having lunch and dinner. turned out to be a fun day but not the kind we had imagined having in a Malaysian coastal town.
