Overall satisfied

Had a normal breakfast but ate a bit too much. Took the Hop On Hop Off Tour Bus around KL and stopped for pictures and lunch. Later walked around the mall and in the evening went to Chinatown.

Took Imodium for the plumbing, one in the morning and another in the evening. It rained a couple of times but only for short …

Yogurt for breakfast and then scheduled the day. Booked a bus to Kuala Lumpur (KL). The bus was very comfortable, almost like first class on a plane. The bus ride took about five hours. Actually a very good way to see the countryside.

Upon the approach to KL, you could see a very intricate rail (there were actually …

Despite having already spent five nights in Kuala Lumpur, there were still plenty of things to do to fill our time on our return. One of the 'must-see' attractions that I had read much about is the Islamic Arts Museum. This is not solely an exhibition of the entire history of Islam but an insight into how the religion has influenced the style and …

This chapter is dedicated to an old friend Mishal Munir, Brad's best friend from school in Singapore. Mish was from KL and was one of the kindest, most polite people I have ever met. How the hell KL spawned such a guy, I will never know.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
Excuse the product placement. Or maybe not, if you are one of the placed. It began on the tenth floor of the Premier Inn, Gatwick North. I've never had too much good to say about Premier Inn but they seem to have invested in some rather nice beds. So when the receptionist asked the following …
