It was a little strange to be in a city on a hill, we've been in the lowlands too long. There is still plenty of flat area though, that is where the old docklands and shipbuilding took place. The ship factories have been turned into parks and in one case a place called Iles ...

... to brake really hard but there was pebbles and dust on the road. The front wheel slipped and I ended up in a little bank along the side of the road. Luckily there was no damage. But it was an impossible task to get the AT back on the road again in my own. I tried several times but realised soon enough that it was useless. I had no other option than to wait for the first ...

    Heating up in Nantes

... we did not have to walk to far in the warmth. We are staying in the same hotel and grade of room here - so we made ourselves a cuppa, and looked at the local guide book to reconsider what we would do when. I had noted some points of interest, and as usual there were too many to fit in, especially in this 24hr turnaround. Being so hot makes things difficult too, as we had planned a hop on hop off to get a quick overview, but there is no way you want to sit ...
