It makes it a much more pleasurable experience when you can wander around a gallery without all the usual security. ... the pillars in high relief. Underneath the Arc there was a burning flame which lay on top of the tomb of an unknown French soldier who is buried underneath. It was a pretty superb experience.
After visiting the Arc De Triomphe we were starving so we stopped for lunch at a very pricey restaurant, which extended out onto the footpath- however the view was superb. We had a look at the menu (which, included snails and frogs legs - yuck!) then we settled for a meal. ...
