... the Marais district just opposite Don's that I checked in on FB. It is a small apartment on the second floor about 18 square metres including kitchenette & bathroom. Bonjour!

Today was our first official day in Paris and have we learnt a thing or two!

We set out early this morning with a full itinerary of things to do and see, but before we began- breakfast!

There's a sweet patisserie just down the road from our hotel and we enjoyed and amazing Pain au Chocolate (chocolate croissant) but the morning was fresh and we were in need of a tea and a coffee and something a little more substantial to keep us going. ...

... took a leisurely stroll to the Musée d'Orsay. How many people can say they had lunch in a clock? We can!!! Lunch on the 5th floor in the giant clock was amazing - definitely the best meal I had since we arrived. After lunch we took our time and enjoyed all the beautiful works of art. ... English speaking African with a French accent. I asked if they had anything available that was gluten free, silly me what was I thinking, of course not, just a cappuccino for me 'sigh'. We arrived in Paris this afternoon. The Eurostar train was quick and easy compared to our trip from Aust. to the UK.
