We enjoyed our last day in London with a beautiful morning on St Katherine's Dock which overlooks The Tower of London and is the mooring place for many privately owned yachts. It is never easy transiting from the slow pace of a cruise ship to the humdrum of life on land and especially when it involves the mayhem surrounding airline travel.
So with apprehension, we said goodbye to the Prinsendam, boarded the transfer bus and headed for Schiphol and our flight to Gatwick.
