Buenos Aires is one of the largest, best developed and most architecturally interesting cities in South America – we, however, just thought it was okay.

Why not better, you ask?

Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed our stay here and had some of the best food of our trip, but for whatever reason, the city simply didn’t wow …

This is our fifth trip to South America. To date we've spent over six months there, and this is the last destination on our South American "bucket list". Our first trip was in 1996, and we went again in 1999, 2003 and 2005. Our first few trips were on a tight budget, using public transport and cheap accommodation, so this will be quite different, …

made it to Argentina after what I consider to be years of somehow or
other putting the trip off, or wondering if such a long-haul
transatlantic flight really would be worth the trek. In this case

Well after a year of talking about and anticipating the treasures that would lie in store for us in South America, our trip has finally become an exciting reality - Argentina now bears the first of our footprints. Buenos Aires (referred to as BA) has been a fantastic city to begin our travels in. It is a city that never sleeps and which radiates …

I have yet to do my blog about my first trip here, as I was too busy sightseeing (bought tango shoes and had a tango lesson) and too pooped to blog at the end of the day! But now it is getting to winter here and …

Great room, great shower, great beds, great staff

Clean rooms with wifi, best shower I've had in South America. Staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was cheap but still very nice food.
