    ... br> A nice taxi driver drove us to town and we chatted a bit. They don't get many tourists in Semarang, even though it's about the same size as Yogya. The taxi was only $1.75. Our hotel was a "3 star" hotel, which might be a 2 star in the US. Still, for under $30, we got a comfy room with an AC and TV and huge buffet breakfast.
