      The ship was scheduled to arrive in Semarang at 9:00 AM, but they had a bit of trouble with the gangway (they said), so it was probably 9:15 before people began to leave. The big destination for many people from Semarang is Borobudur, the largest Buddhist temple in the world, but we had visited it in 2012 when we took the Grand Asia and Australia cruise.       ... the mist prevented us seeing the scenery. Super lunch at Susan Spa hotel before coach back to harbour through centre of Semarang. MS Rotterdam was moored behind us with 1000 passengers in board sailing 39 days from Africa to Indonesia.       ... both must have felt brave and or fit. We showed him the map got the thumbs up and squished ourselves in. We headed out into the traffic held on tight and enjoyed the ride.       ... no windows and so much character sounded it's whistle as he chuffed out of the station.
      It was difficult to know which side to look as we passed workers in their coolie hats tending the rice crops, the fisherman along the waters edge, the birds as they hovered and then swooped down to catch the fish before the fishermen. It was such a memorable sight.
