Our holiday begins... and the missing bag saga

... it up a bit. The highlight was definitely the ice cream bar. Afterwards we both slept and dozed for a few hours which passed the time nicely. We had breaky just before landing and again found it bland. You definitely want to carry some salt and pepper with you if you are flying Cathay! The flight was 12 hours long and we landed in Hong Kong at 7 am local time.

We thought about heading out to explore the city for a bit, but checked the weather forecast ...

... store. Actually meeting this woman was an incredible experience. At 95 she was so lively, independent, strong and out right inspiring. As we took photographs of her and her small home/store she joked in her local Javanese, "You pretty, me ugly". We all tried her coffee, which was surprisingly tasty although it raised a few hairs on the chest and then we were off, leaving the woman to get back to her daily routine.

Waking with a bout of food poisoning is never fun but having to travel five hours on a train and a further two by car is the worst start to a day ever. The plan was to try to sleep it off.
