So,
Went to the masaya markets, makes you really wonder why Canadian Health organizations are so anal retentive about sanitary practices. There are pieces of meat, sitting in blazing heat, with flies all over them, everywhere. You can also buy half dead chickens, vegetarians must just be ******. Started my spanish classes as well. Fun Fact: the word Papaya in Cuba, means vagina... could get very confusing if you happen to be ...

... on a cobble stone road, through the jungle, in the 30 degree weather. Lets just say, my ass will never recover. It was so steep, on the walk down, we had to walk backwards just to spare the wear and tear on our knees. This hike made the Grouse Grind look like a highway in the prairies. But all in all, it was worth it for the experience. How many people do you know who can say: " I climbed a volcano with a ninja named Jackie Chan." Seriously, so worth it.

Spice Island - Grenada

... were on the top deck (of which we ended up on because it was so jam packed..). So we think, Ok, the free Rum Punch might make this liveable, right? Nooooo, it was like some crazy sour Rum drink that wasn't even drinkable. So by the time we get to Morne Rouge, we already know we're not taking that think back...Not my style. So we investigated a cab. It was $18 back into St. George. We ...

Grenada's highlights & scenic drive

... the island to Greenville and then on to Grand Etang Lake in Grand Etang National Park passing along the way verdant grove of bananas, cocoa, nutmeg and other spices. Once there, we enjoyed a complimentary beverage while taking the views of the lake which is located in the crater of an extinct volcano. Cooool!

Along the way, we also stopped at a small fishermen's village near the ocean to admire the deep blue ocean ...

Another Season in Paradise

... for their Music Fest. We only attended one of the organized activities which luckily was connected to a great buffet dinner. We did take the time in Bequia to show Ellis two nice walks. Ellis found a postcard which had a picture of a blow-hole and was labeled "Ravine Bay". We found it on the map and set out on foot to discover it ourselves. This was a real treat, and after a few miles we felt like explorers as we located ...

Day 4 of the Cruise - Grenada

... so much about the island and see its beauty.

When we got back on board the ship, we went to the Cafe Caribe buffet for their Mexican-themed buffet and it was awesome! I still enjoyed a big salad but there were also cheese quesadillas, nacho chips with all of the toppings including a fresh salsa, Mexican rice, and these delicious potatoes. Yum!

Right now, I'm just chilling out on our balcony as we set sail from Grenada - we left ...

Finally arrived in Grenada

... I've been in Grenada since Thursday evening and I haven't slept at home as yet. I've been staying in the south of the island about 5 mins away from Grande Anse beach with my cousins. My German cousins arrived from Dominica on Thursday as well so we got straight into sorting out some family business. There's so much work to be done, meetings to go to but I've found some time to have fun. It's good to be around family ...

Caribbean delight

... world's supply of nutmeg and the island also has more spices per square km than anywhere else on the planet. I also visted the fish market and new man made wharf. One evening I went to see a group practising for the up coming Calypso Carnival which happens every year. This was a brilliant experience to see everyone using old oil drums of different sizes and sound to create one of the most fascinating blends of music I have every heard. Unfortunately ...
