2 hours in Monaco

ok, it was more "collecting a new country" than being really interested in Monaco. Strange, when you go there from Nice airport by bus it costs you 18 € one way, when you go from Nice bus terminal it costs 1 € one way. Monaco is a very clean city. I have never seen so many big and expensive cars. I saw the casino and the castle. Nice, but not spectacular.

Nice

... have an amazing view from Colline du Chateau. On saturday (November 28) we had sunshine and 19 degrees (end of November) and I was even swimming in the sea (15 gegrees), on sunday, November 29 we had rain and thunderstorms so that caused a delay of the plane of three hours. Best breakfast in town you find in "Les pains a tables" close to the market. Nice is a city IŽd love to visit once a year minimum.....

Less than 4 weeks to go.....

... upon me it feels very strange and somewhat daunting. But to my knowledge no one has ever died from teaching children so I am sure I will survive.... My Amazon book order should arrive soon to inspire me. I am really looking forward to discovering the 100 things you can do with a paper plate. Life is never going to be the same!!

Boring drive day so here is life in Scooby

... about a dog... Toilet time It is amazing how toilet dramas/stories are always a hot topic of conversation amongst travelers. I feel a little empty this time round as we have averted the problem as we have a Thetford cassette Porta Potti. Called "Theo"... We started out thinking would only use him in emergency situations but with the scarcity of public loos in France and more so in Italy means he is getting a lot more use than first planned. These loos are easy to empty and ...

... the french 'boules', which is where lawn bowling originated from. One guy had a very interesting style of chucking his ball up into the air and it would magically land in the right spot and knock out the opponent's ball. We sampled some delicious macaroon dessert thingies, which the new Lindt chocolate store in Chaddy sells and they call them 'delice'. Well, whatever they were, they were awesome, the lady at the store cut up a whole lot and gave us mini taste tests, as there were many ...

A Barefoot day to the beach

... and hiked up to the top of a hill, where a castle provided a spectacular view of the port and beach.

I walked down the hill and found the building where the International Film Festival is held each year. I walked up and down the red carpet steps just as countless celebrities have done before me.

I headed back to the hostel for the night. My plan was to eat some dinner, pack my bag and go to bed early so I ...

Month 2!

... exciting! Anyways, I talked to my dad for a little while as we walked around and waited for Bre to get back. We met at the hostel and changed before going to our Mozart dinner. It was definitely a very touristy event, but still a lot of fun and very impressive. The tickets were only 36 Euros for students (compared to the 40+ and 70+ Euro tickets). The dinner show took place in a really old pretty building. We had a three-course dinner- soup, chicken and dessert with ...

Birthday in Cannes

... we danced and partied until closing time at 02:00. It was pretty fun, and although we could've move on to a night club, we decided to go home and have a few drinks and let Marina unwrap her presents. So we ended up in bed at 4, which wasn't that bad. And now, I'm going to be Santa Clause, and I got a haircut this morning.

people and classes

... French cuisine for 35 years. First we made a salad, with artichokes, carrots, red peppers, mushrooms, and beets. Then we spent the rest of the class making a tarte aux pommes, or apple tart. Everything is in grams, and there's a scale instead of measuring cups, but it was a lot of fun making and shaping the dough. Then we peeled and cut tons of apples, because not only do you have to cook some of the apples to make kind of like an applesauce for the ...

Who was the drunk, upset kid? Was that inspired from my experience with John Wolf? Day 13 After running out in the rain to purchase a new camera and finding the identical item at a nearby store, I caught the train with Melissa, Pam, Bob, and Avi heading to Ventamiglia, Italy ...
