We have actually hit “lucky” in that we will experience both the GP AND the Cannes Film Festival so depending on your point of view it has been a bonus.
Encouraged by our nice experience in Nice we again used TT to find a parking lot on our route into the town (to avoid having to fight through the centre traffic) This worked quite well on the way in (apart from the usual mad bikers and people who seem to think they can ...

... we will be in Switzerland and guess who's playing. We'll see if our good luck rubs off on the Swiss. After dinner, we walked around the Massena Plaza and they had their Jazz Festival going on. It was interrupted by hundreds of insane French people on scooters and bikes and on foot, just being obnoxious. It was much like the end of a football or baseball game at home. We'll pack tonight for Switzerland and see how that ...

Then we went to open our wine and we hit a stumbling block… it had a cork… the scissors and spoon were no use here, we even tried to dig it out with tweezers but the plastic cork would not budge. But not far from the beach we found a liquor store, so Tiffany ...

... the tour guide pretty panicked. Well at least we had partners in crime this time!!! The other passengers picked on us for the rest of the trip!!! We then drove to a similar village called Seillans. Once again this village was built in the Middle Ages with an old quiet, peaceful ambience. We traipsed through the streets and I guess the villagers stay indoors - it must be odd having strangers peering into their houses taking photos etc. This village was full of cats (all asleep!) the ...

... off. Daryl had another swim in the hotel rooftop pool. Liam and I relaxed in our room. We decided to find somewhere for tea and headed off down to the old town again. We took a wrong turn and ended up seeing masts ahead. We had inadvertently found the marina/ port of Nice. The car ferry from Corsica arrives and departs from here. There were lots of our size boats, fishing boats and super yachts. What a lovely place for dinner. I had ...
