... about 40 minutes or so up here at the summit of "Pordoi pass" I decided I better make tracks. The road down the pass was great and with the sun as it was it was more like midsummer than winter. The road was dry all the way so some great fun was to be had on this wonderful winding road with its sweeping bends etc.

... of snow where cars had compacted it into solid ice. The road got narrower and narrower with snow and ice all along each side. Even though the road had leveled out the bikes rear wheel went into a spin a few times and after about the 4th time I decided it was time to turn back, this cliffside road was simply getting too dangerous to ride on!!

Left padova train to Verona from there suppose to be a fast train to Bolzano, yes it broke down so were put on normal fast regional train, bugger, only ended up 30mins longer somehow normally 90 mins. We packed up camp (Dad & Tan for the last time) and headed up to Forni di Sopra to spend the night with Sue & Dino. Unfortunately we could only stay for the night, but we said we'd be back for a longer visit in a few weeks if that worked for them.
