So a few months ago me and my girlfriend Olivia were having a chat about the future. And in my typical fashion of avoiding adulthood and responsibilities I throw in "have you ever wanted to travel?" Anyway, to cut a long story short, here we are a few months later facing the adventure of a lifetime. To be fair it wasn't that simple. Once we decided we wanted to go, we thought the best thing to do was go to STA and find out what we needed to do. We turned up like a couple ...

I enjoyed having a chat with Neil Longhurst after the game for about half an hour, he is a good lad and a gun cricketer. He plays minor county and has played county for Yorkshire. After the game I jumped in the car with Browny and went back to his and Bit's apartment in Outibridge. It's a nice little apartment and we enjoyed having a drink before ...

We sat down with Big Steve and Nicola which we enjoyed as they are more our type of people as opposed to Nikki and Deb, even if Steve and Nicola are old enough to be our parents. We watched the first half of the bands performance before we walked back to the house to get a good nights sleep before cricket against Whitley Hall ...

... and Houghton Main. We arrived at the ground and it was so cold because the ground is above sea level. The wind was bitterly cold! We batted first and I batted at 3 where I made about 40 but did not enjoy it at all. Bradfield, the team we were playing against, we're so bad that the other Australian for Mexborough made 130 and he wouldn't play in our firsts for Naps. All the boys kept saying I should have been ruthless and smashed them ...

... hotel at 9 to give ourselves plenty of time to get to Kings Cross and find out where we need to go. Carrying our luggage from the hotel to Pimlico station was a lot harder then I thought it would be. We finally made it to Pimlico and caught the tube to Kings Cross with plenty of time to spare, so we sat down to rest our legs at Pret and I had a coffee. We eventually found out which platform we had to catch the train from (unfortunately it wasn't platform 9 3/4) ...
