    Day Sixty Six: Barnsley

A travel blog entry by lcrigby on Jun 11, 2015

The sun was streaming though the window this morning, it was going to be a belter of a day. We didn't go for a walk this morning as we were heading off to Shaw Lane cricket ground in Barnsley as Yorkshire second XI were playing against Northampton second XI in a twenty20. The big drawcard for the game was that Aaron Finch was returning from an injury and playing ...

Every inch of the National Trust tour of John Lennon's and Paul McCartney's childhood homes. (Summary: they're tiny.) Then train to Manchester for a wander around the city center and excellent Nepalese food. See here for photos: https://www.facebook.com/sarahollidaybo ...

I skyped Nan and Grandad today, it is really nice to be able to talk to them and for them to hear first hand what Jenna ...

We batted first and I batted at 3 where I made about 40 but did not enjoy it at all. Bradfield, the team we were playing against, we're so bad that the other Australian for Mexborough made 130 and he wouldn't play in our firsts for Naps. All the boys kept saying I should have been ruthless and smashed them ...

    Day Four: Barnsley

A travel blog entry by lcrigby on Apr 10, 2015

... hotel at 9 to give ourselves plenty of time to get to Kings Cross and find out where we need to go. Carrying our luggage from the hotel to Pimlico station was a lot harder then I thought it would be. We finally made it to Pimlico and caught the tube to Kings Cross with plenty of time to spare, so we sat down to rest our legs at Pret and I had a coffee. We eventually found out which platform we had to catch the train from (unfortunately it wasn't platform 9 3/4) ...
