They had roast turkey, ham, roast beef, steak and mushroom pie, Yorkshire puddings and gravy, roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes, peas (of course) carrots and cauliflower and the tiniest salad bar I have ever seen. It was pretty good stuff.

Just down the road is another slightly larger town of Burge Le Marsh, which also featured in her family’s history. The church and cemetery here were in a better state, even though of a similar age, but there appeared to be more money in town for the upkeep.
