Today we're driving out of Boston on our way to Quebec. But first we had to pick up our hire car (obviously or we wouldn't be able to drive out of Boston). ... the car long enough so rather then heading all the way to flume gorge, we diverted to Echo Lake in Franconia Notch (not to be confused with Echo Lake state park near here, also to be visited) to let the boys have a play in the sand and a swim in the lake and let off a bit of steam.
