Great weather 60s and sunny. North to the Basin State Park where we hiked in a little, all paved. Took a neat pic on a tree hanging over the river. (Where is that picture Jamie? We don't have it!) Then we drove the loop to Conway and back. Along the way we stopped at ...

Courtesy of Kristen, she and I spent the day in a class at King Arthur Flour about an hour + from Lincoln to learn how to bake 'beautiful baguettes'. What fun and so much to learn (for me!). Had lunch in their cafeteria..yummy soup... Then we shopped a little in their gift shop. Guys were busy too....golfed 18 holes for the day. Came home, picked up some dinner food and made pasta with salad and TONS of baguettes. I think we ate almost all 10 of them in 2 ...

We wondered if the pond was really there, then there it was. Gorgeous, of course. No one else there. Not many folks on the trail. Leaves falling and glowing everywhere. Really hard to describe. So we thought we would leave by continuing the trail around the pond...but one problem...the trail didn't ...

... the mountain we noticed our neighbors sitting on their front porch – they had lent us a lobster pot last year – we backed up to their driveway (no worries about traffic on our street) and drove up to quickly say "hi" – we were curious about their first full time winter at their home and how that went – come to find out, they took a weekend at Disneyworld in Orlando for a break. More stories to come ...
