We started at 8.30am and our first stop was the Royal Palace which is still the residence of the King on the rare occasions that he is in Phnom Penh. ... to Romdeng, a restaurant known for its delicious Khmer food and for...serving tarantulas!! Neither of us were brave enough to eat the fried tarantula, but we did get to hold one. We later went to the BKK1 district, which is where all the expats hang out. There were a series of cute, open bars that I wouldn't have ever expected to see in Cambodia (sort of like the bars in Delhi--could've been in NYC)! Tomorrow, Bali!! And if all goes well, hopefully I'll be on Lombok shortly ...
