... these people must still experience to this day!

S21 is very like Auschwitz and to be honest I was too ill to be able to take much of it in. I was having hot and cold sweats and having to find shelter every two minutes. I went over a day with no food which as anyone who knows me knows that never happens!

Instruments of torture were also on display. We also met the 82 year old survivor who was featured on Sue Perkins' programme on the Mekong River which was shown on Sunday evening. A very, very sad and thoughtful day which ...

We have spent a week at Phnom Penh. We did the tourist circuit on the fist 2 days, as we wanted to leave the rest of the time to see what happens in the water festival, which was on the 5-7 th of November. It was very sad and confronting to go to the killed fields memorial, and the Toul Sleng prison. This is where there are pictures of countless thousands of people imprisoned by the Khmer Rouge for being teachers, artists, professionals. Then they were taken to the killing field ...
