Aug 23 Port Leon to Kioni
Back to Kioni on the island of Ithaca for the second time. We took a walk when we arrived to find an ATM and bank.

... Kioni is an attractive huddle of whitewashed houses around the slopes at the head of the bay. The place seems to have more houses than people, this is because a large population has emigrated to Australia and the USA and many of the houses are still owned by these expatriates. In twenty years the school role has fallen from 600 to 20.

We blitzed through the Gulf of Patras trying to get Olivia & Sam quickly to the Ionian Islands, including some night sailing thru narrow channels arriving at Meonlongion up another strange long canal, early am. Meganisi
... a result a couple of small yachts that kids were sailing got up turned in the bay. The girl behind the bar had not done bar work before, so Cheryl, Diane and Heather were showing her how to make the drinks. After the bar, we all went and had showers etc (unisex showers).
We then had a great meal at the cafe down the road. And there ends another day. It is 11.41 and I am off to bed, and the traditional Greek music is wafting down from the cafe up the road. So nice to listen ...
