After some much needed rest, we woke up at 6:30, ate some breakfast, and left by 8. First thing on the agenda was a guided tour in the bus. Our temporary tour guide was a very informed and educated guy, probably in his late 20s. He showed us some of the things in inner and outer Berlin. The roads were pretty congested because of a fashion show that's going on in Berlin, but we were always entertained by the information our guide was telling ...

    ... tickets from the machines.
So, back to the machines and trying to figure out which to buy. After much consternation, we bought the ticket for all three regions of Berlin and back to the platform.
We could see other trains arrive exactly as show on the schedule and, when the train we wanted should up, even though the end destination was wrong, the train number was right and we got on. Then the train started going ...

Before going in we took pictures with the wall because we only saw it from a distance yesterday. The museum is very well done for those interested ...

... well, not without arousing suspicion. The car finally arrived, we were introduced to Steve and 'the driver' (whose face I mysteriously never saw. He was bent over the trunk loading bags when we first exchanged hellos and I sat behind him in the car so only ever glanced his eyes in the rearview mirror). It wasn't quite the family-fun car ride I was expecting, the guys played death metal the whole trip, so the other passenger and I exchanged a couple ...

It's our last day in Berlin and we went to go do the graffiti tour. We get there and find out that tour is tomorrow. We're only a day off! Therefore we decided to do the East Side Gallery ourselves. The entire thing is a section of the Berlin Wall that had been painted by artists on one side and graffiti on the other side. The whole thing was pretty cool. Unfortunately some people go up and graffiti on inappropriate things on ...
