Sorry for the break from routine of our daily blogs. Our time spent in Pforzheim is very relaxing and we are enjoying the opportunity not to be travelling so much. We spend time planning the next phase of our trip, sorting bank details and shopping. Marianne is a wonderful cook and we have been spoilt with yummy home-cooked meals. Walter has ordered spare parts for his car and Gisela has made a few clothing purchases. We have been invited to stay at a ...

Ok, obviously I haven't been sightseeing...but you have to understand, I've been busy soaking up its nightlife and most especially, its language. Züridüutsch isch eifach schööön.

It's no fairytale being here, though. Coming ...

What a load of swiss bankers

Having left behind thedelights of austria, we headed next for its alpine neighbour. Following our success at not pre-booking in Innsbruck, we went for this tactic again in Zurich. It didnt work. There were no free hostels at all, so we had to fork out for one night in a 1* hotel. It wasnt that much more than a hostel would have been, but the Swiss live ...
