Bumming around.....Literally
After spending the night at the Hotel Weis Stue in Ribe, we got up and had breakfast across the road at a bakery and then took a walk around town. It really is the crookedest little place you would find.
All of these old buildings from the 15 and 1600s that are so twisted out of shape because of the settling of the composite layers, yet they are still standing. The use of big timber beams obviously give the houses lots of flexibility without failing.

Back to Denmark
... have remained clean and crispy in the luggage except when we are washing the few pair of grubby pants that I have had on since we arrived. Boy, those pants and long sleeve shirts are getting some use! After stocking up on good bread and cheese and having the Rasmussen house to ourself for a few days and playing tourist, we are off to meet the grandparents in Norway for a weeks trip in the even colder north...man - those pants are really going to get some good use ...
Bienvenue a Vojens
... pauser, da vi havde smurt sandwich på hotellet, som blev spist i bilen. De første par timer fik ungerne sig også en ordentlig lur.
Vi landede på matriklen igen kl. 17.15 efter en dejlig, dejlig tur, selv om vejret ikke helt havde været med os. ...
Så blev bilen klar!
Øv - men held i uheld kan man vist godt sige. En mærkelig lyd fra bilen endte ud i en større mundfuld, hvor svinghjul ved koblingen skulle skiftes, og da værkstedet var igang med bilen, fandt de også ud af at et vandrør skulle skiftes, som næsten var gennemtæret af rust :o(. Selvfølgelig en regning vi godt kunne have været ...
