... way past where we were supposed to be and got to see the beautiful Christmas markets and decorations in the main square! Lunch was delicious- real German schnitzel with mushrooms and potatoes!!! Yum! Afterwards Beate took us back to the markets where we tried sugar-coated almonds and walked all the way down to the river :) We visited the Frankfurt Cathedral and walked the 328 steps up the Cathedral tower- haha a decent hike! ... here was worth it! We then caught the train to a cafe where we had the best vanilla chai latte ever! We caught the train back to the city and bought a pretzel after being snipped at with tongs by the guy who ran the shop haha. We had a tough ride today because of strong head winds. We rode 60 Kilometers through magnificent picturesque postcard scenery. Quaint villages were come upon every 10 Kilometers or so. The apple trees, corn, cabbages, have given way to pumpkins potatoes, onions and grapes. The grapes grow up the hillside and look really impressive. The vines are full of juicy grapes ready to eat.
