    I arrived at Heathrow just after 4:30am. No planes are allowed to land before 4:30am so we had to do a bit of a circle first. We were the first plane to land so getting through customs was a breeze. After customs, I walked out to see a huge line of taxi drivers holding signs.     ... back to Christchurch. It’s under 3 hours each way, so not a big deal.

    On the way back, we stopped at the Valley Brewing Company – a little boutique brewery with deer in the backyard, a welcoming brown dog and good food, just before you reach Geraldine. Sean did the beer sampler and I tried here ginger beer. All very good, well worth the stop and am sure we will be back again particularly if riding around in the summer.
