    Justs great

    from

been before and loved it then but this timle was better and poeple in apartments were just very helpful and nice

If you dont sleep, you will love it here!

    from

We have just returned from 2 wks holiday here and whilst the staff were friendly,a lot of the clientelle were not!all the time we were there we didnt get to sleep until after 2am because of people shouting, screaming and swearing until all hours!this is certainly not the place for people with young children. we were led to believe there were things for children to do and this was not the case even the so called amusement machines didnt work.there were missing tiles in the swimming pool. having stayed in the area on several occasions before, this has to be the worst place we've stayed !it was also a lot further away from the tourist area called 'the strip'than was reported in a report we read before hand. the appartments were adequate although could do with some serious updating ! After saying all this imust say we made the most of our holiday as we love the Algarve.Oh! and before someone accuses me of being a misery another couple we got talking to felt exactly the same ,they had 3 children under 10 yrs and we had 1.!'

Loved it definately book again next year very clean and freindly.

    from

After visiting the Choro Mar in 2000 i have been back every year. The people there make you feel like part of the family. The apartments are lovely and clean and spacious. From the cleaners to the manager they all have a smile for you.Every time we come back my son Carl doesn't stop talking about the place for months. It's a smashing place for familes i can't speak highly enough of the place.Paul,Julia and Carl

    Couldn't find fault!!!

    from

Our first family holiday will be remember as possibly the best holiday ever!!

The staff were all extremely friendly and always ready to help. The food was great and the atmosphere for the football was brill! The apartments are spacious and really clean. The location and setting were ideal for a family. The Strip was close enough to walk too, but far enough way so it was quiet on a night (except for the entertainment in the bar!!!).As there are 4 pools, no fighting for sunbeds!!

Overall a great holiday, we will definately be going back.

Party Time At Da Choro Mar

    from

We have visited the choro mar for the past 5 years and we find the family atmosphere fantastic. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We have made many new friends over the years and still keep in contact with them. The Choro Mar is an excellant destination if your looking for family fun in the sun and a good time in the bar. Our kids don't want to go anywhere else because they love it so much. Tommy AKA Jonny Fabulous. P.S c u in june sort my room out Grace.

    Loved the choro mar apartments

    from

As a family of four we had a wonderful holiday. Our apartments were spacious and clean and the hospitality we were shown was absoloutly marvelous. We are going back this year on 10 July and can't wait to return. The Choromar has a very friendly atmosphere and the entertainment was superb. We had pool games for all the family every day and also much to my son's delight the owner Carlos ran a mini bus twice a week to a football stadium were holiday makers were encouraged to take part in a game of footy.

    Wot an 'oliday!!

    from

This was the first time for the four of us in Portugal, if the Choro Mar was an advert for the rest of the Albufeira, then it would be a much busier place, what can we say:- clean and spacious apartments, very friendly staff, who genuinley have the guests' interests at heart, fantastic environment in the bar with the entertainment (Manuel trying to sing!!) keeping all ages interested and in fits of laughter. The pool was of a good size and well used, by children & adults. We could not fault it at all, fantastic and thanks to all the staff. Paul, Jacqui, Daniel and Matthew Phillips block 1 apt 307, 12-26 oct 2003. P.S. hello to everyone we partied heavily with.

    Holiday from Heaven

    from

Best holiday ever mainly due to the owners and staff of the Choro Mar.

Chor Mar means 'cry sea' The only crying we did was from laughing so much. The apartments were brilliant, spotless and very large, the food was great, the pool fab, the staff sooo helpful and the entertainment had you in stitches. would reccomend this hotel to anyone wanting a good time on holiday.

Thanks Gill, Charlie and Mary McKillop Block 1 apt 305 (02.10.03 - 16.10.03)

... the beach to collect them as we did today. Similar to Mexico, though far less often and without the harassment, there are locals that walk by the beach beds selling food, hats, sunglasses and hair braiding.the vendors are very low key in their approach calling out softly as they walk by. For dinner, we opted to stay at the resort, this time heading to the Japanese restaurant, Yakuza. The restaurant is owned by. Portuguese celebrity chef, Olivier da Costa, ...

After heeding the suggestion of a British-born owner of a gift shop in Praia de Luz, yesterday we headed for the hills, or the Serra de Monchique to be precise in order to find the alternative Portugal. Once off the initial bit of motorway, the road meandered uphill through pine and eucalyptus clad hills before turning in a westerly direction south of Monchique itself. The route along the ridge went through little hamlets with panoramic views down to the Algarve ...

Our main destination was five miles or so further on at Cape St. Vincent which is supposed to be Portugal and Europe’s southwesternmost point, and a wild and rugged coastline. Away from the sheltered courtyard with museum, cafe, loos and gift shop it was very ...

... As we entered the very narrow entrance the gennaker started to unfurl again and so we decided to drop it. As we did a gust came and the sail went back into the sea. Dawson managed to manoevre the boat without hitting anything as we hurled the anaconda, as we have christened her, back onto the deck.

On on one hand I am sorry it's finished but then I am really looking forward to coming home, if only for a short while.

    Lagos

A travel blog entry by a.baker.abroad on Jun 21, 2015

First stop in Portugal - the beach side town of Lagos! After a big night in Marbella to finish we were a little rough driving to Lagos but the hangover was instantly gone once we arrived in beautiful town of Lagos. Aqua waters, blue skies and very welcoming hosts at the Big Chill hostel was exactly what we needed. We spent the arvo chilling on the oversized bean bags and getting to know our fellow travellers. ...
