Chong Khao Bungalow Ko Phi Phi Don

... zumeist das gefuehl hatte in einer Stadt am Festland zu sein. Die massiven Schaeden nach dem Tsunami kann man jetzt nur mehr vereinzelt erahnen und es stehen jetzt wohl schon wieder mehr Gebaude als davor. Da wir nicht schwimmen gehen konnten kosteten wir das Nachtleben aus und entschlossen uns bald weiter nach Norden zu fahren. Kurz vor unserer Abreise wurde das Wetter dann doch noch etwas schoener und wir konnten zumindest einmal im thailaendischen Meer schwimmen.

... or walk around the island. We swam out quite far from the beach where the coral and rocks look amazing, there are really huge boulders on the sea bed with plenty of different types of fish. We saw a sea horse and James saw a Lion-fish. There were huge yellow and brown type Angel Fish and a Barracuda swam right in front of my nose. ... we went out to Phi Phi Island, which is where the beach was filmed. Beautiful white sand beaches, and did some snorkelling. It has been a really nice relaxing week, and tomorrow I head to Bangkok for the craziness there before I go up to Chiang Mai. ... De andre snorklet. Rune som og sov med meg etterhvert. Jeg ble frisk i tide til å få servert sterk mat til lunsj utenfor Chicken Bay. Men jeg har fått til en teknikk nå, det gjelder å ikke komme borti leppen, da slipper man mye smerte. Kjørte rundt omkring å snorkla og hoppa fra båten. Rundt kl.4 var vi tilbake på Arawan Beach Resort, og tok en dukkert i det fremdeles nye bassenget. Så vare det tid for Krabi town hvor vi spiste, vaska klær og tok en tur på intenett cafe.
