    A Day at the Dentists

... enjoy life a little more. In the past week I've been forced to face far more silly phobias than I usually would at home. From chalk to moths and now dentists. I guess the dentist thing is pretty interesting. Nobody really likes the dentist but it's just one of those things. You should look after yourself. For me the dentist is much like obsessive order in the home. I like the idea of the end result but the actual process causes me headaches and anxiety. I know what I'm good ...

    The Long Road to Laos

I'm writing this from a mini-bus on the road to Laos. Turns out it's a nine hour journey and I've already exhausted my stock of Game of Thrones episode. On the upside we've only got four hours left... It's been a long day. My memories when we were younger for our summer holidays was that we would go to the zoo each time. Seeing wildlife held in captivity isn't something I enjoy. I did take plenty ...

... us 12 hours in reverse ! I have made Jai promise me that she will never buy tickets with this company (Mukdahan Tours) ever again.
We tuk-tuk across town to collect the bike where I manage to pit on something warm. A bit of shopping then back to Khamnadie, teeth chattering still. I dont think it is really that cold but the hours on the bus must have chilled me to the core.
Back to cooking our own food this morning then Jai is off ...

    Nakhon Ratchasima (Khorat)

... had a minibus waiting to take them. "Yes", he said, "but it's too difficult for you to go alone because you can't speak Thai". By now Paul has joined me, and so I announced "แต่พู 604;ภาษาไ ทย" ("But I can speak Thai"), to the tout's surprise, and we walked quickly out of the building.

Once back into Thailand we got away from the border as quickly as we could and took a tuktuk to ...
