So Drew and I just finished our first day of boat dives on Koh Nanyuan and Monkey Bay on Koh Tao. It was pretty spectacular. The visibility wasn't great but for the first time scuba diving, I am not complaining. Spent a lot of time concentrating on my breathing and position when I wasn't clearing water out of my mask. Hoping that on our last day I can enjoy more of the scenery without focusing on the basic scuba skills. The JOURNEY: The cliche is that the journey is more important than the de...

Shane dropped me at the Samui butterfly house, the one I had gone to on my
first visit alone to Samui – it had been closed then and the taxi had driven
off and it was so isolated (the expensive resort the only place nearby which
had not helped me) that I had walked down the hill looking for a taxi. This
time the place was open and though small, it was lovely to go in. Being
Thailand, the air inside did not need to be heated or made more humid as it

IF I WHERE A RICH MAN
A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village, a tourist complimented the mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them.
"not very long" answered the Mexican.
“but then, why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?” asked the tourist.
The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to ...
... new students, so old material could be recycled endlessly. Parents loved me because their kids always had fun. My director was very pleased because I always reported to work sober and on time. Her business prospered because of my nice reputation. My salary increased, and I developed fantastic references. However, something was missing.

... who lives in New Zealand for hours, we were such firm friends at the end of the night we'd arranged to meet up in New Zealand...then forgot to exchange contact details. At the end of the night one of Thai fellas said to Kelly I have something to show you...it wasn't rude, honestly...he picked her up and threw her in the sea!!!! Unusual you might think, but he did this to show all the phosphorose (nice spelling!) plankton light up, like in 'The Beach', I did not ...
Ko Phangan, Thailand therobsblogs... shorts watching the free show from over his newspaper, chinese characters screaming at me from the newspaper`s front, approving looks from beady eyes than he returns to his main source of entertainment...his newspaper. I wonder how come Chinese hotels anywhere in Asia always seem to have old Chinese men sitting around in their underwear reading Chinese newspapers??? Walking up the stairs in front of me ...
ko samui, Thailand farang020... guys were being pushy, realising i had to drop being polite to them whilst in bangkok i ignored them, they grab you and everything! We got a tuk tuk, which is a tiny tricle with a seat at the back. We squashed four of us and bags onto this thing, hanging on for dear life until we got dropped off. I had one of my feet resting on the wheel arch lol. Will try to get some more pictures up soon, plus a picture of a tuk tuk. If not google tuk tuk.
Ko Phangan, Thailand banj... situated between Thian Og Bay (Shark Bay), on the left, and Chalok baan Kao Bay, on the right. We rested at an overview/restaurant named OK II, which offers 1) a grand vista of the pristine emerald waters, encompassed by Shark Bay, and 2) a notable Massam curry. Although 'M' conquered that the Massam was delicious, she wasn't really appreciating any kind of grub, owing to the delirium of sunstroke, and the tail-end of a cold which passngered with her from ...
Ko Phangan, Thailand oandm... a beach called Leela Beach. Well we certainly got what we paid for. We had rang ahead and they told us they had a bungalow for 300 Baht per night which is about €6. Alan took a look at it while I stayed with the bags. Alan was happy with it but when we went to take the room we were told another room on the beach for 600 Baht had just become free so Alan went to look at. He couldn't decide which one to go for so I went to look at the one in the forest. Well, there was no way ...
Ko Phangan, Thailand alandrachLouis Black does a bit about the only reason people think New Zealand is so beautiful is that it takes them so f'n long to get there they'd find anything beautiful. Well, we had another one of our hellish overnight travel experiences (I'll save you the details) but I swear that's not why Ko Samui looked like paradise. I'll let a photo do the talking... We chose to stay at Chawaeng Beach during our time on the island. It's the most ...
