Once again I can't believe I am 5 months through the year. Work and routines are making the days and weeks fly by! The last month has had several exciting expeditions, as I have been trying to make efforts to get out and about. I went to Fulong beach for a sand sculpture contest, which was lovely. Actually it is the third time I have been lucky enough to have been in Taiwan at this right time and got to see it. It was a nice day with a few ...

... out not to be as good as we had expected. So rather than going to the club we headed for McDonald's. I never go there - but when I do it's always abroad! We had some great laughs in there, trying to re-create the Taipei 101 from the french fries cartons and drinking cups.

The next morning we slept in, and then headed over to Tamsui. This place kind of felt like the Asian version of Venice beach. Lots of street performers, little shops selling street food ...

... he was still sleep, rare for a child who wakes up easily. So then we couldn't go anywhere other than home, and I carried him there. However, he woke up when he arrived and wouldn't go back to sleep.

I was so mad since I'd carried him all the way home I had to rest a bit and then getting bored we headed out again. First was a little Japanese rice ball for lunch. I swear K can eat this three meals a day if she were ...
