This was a great spot to stay. Right on the River and we get Safaris by Car specifically designed and Boats also specifically set up. Food excellent here and the room very quaint with the nets over the bed etc.

      A wonderful taste of Africa

This lodge is great because it has lots of facilities and activities on offer. The restaurant is great, and the curio shop is super. The family rooms are not so nice, especially not for teenage children. The one we had booked had absolutely no view of the river and was tucked well away from the rest of the lodge. The other family room had bunkbeds for the kids, which is really not ideal for teenagers, but at least we as the parents got a nice view of the river. I unfortunately had money stolen from my handbag in our room, even though the room had already been serviced. Always use the safe!!

We stayed here for one night only while being on an overland truck tour of the country. The lodge was quite exceptional, luxurious looking and succeeded in giving me quite satisfaction. The food was excellent and the views stunning. I highly recommend this place. My only regrets are not having stayed here longer due to our tour. Definitely a place to come back to. Thank you.

We had a new group of travel companions for the final leg of our overland tour to South Africa. 9 of us from Tanzania remained (who happened to be the quieter folk from our original tour) and were joined by 12 people from Germany, Portugal, New Zealand, Canada and Korea. This gave the group a more diverse, …

We did a morning safari into the park which was lovely but made even better when we spotted our first lion - 3 in total! The cruise & Safari were both part of our package but we were so excited about seeing our first lion, we paid for another safari in the afternoon and we saw the same lions plus 3 cheetah -priceless! They are such majestic …

After another morning cruise, we jumped on a 5-seater plane to Kasane with 2 drop-offs/pickups at different camps in the Delta along the way which extended our flying time by an hour but enabled us to get used to taking off/landing in a very, very, small plane ;) Also provided the opportunity for some wonderful aerial views of the Delta, a great …

This morning we had to meet the driver and vehicle at 6:00am in reception. Clare's alarm failed so we just woke up at 6:00 imagine the scurry. Clare has had a cold since Capetown and it seems to be getting worse. Out we go and run the 100 metres to reception. Luckily we just beat the departure and we missed the pre safari briefing. Ok out we go. …

After settling in to the hotel we hurriedly had a bite to eat (Lunch) and we prepared for our first safari.
Just a note about the tipping. We were driven to the border of Zimbabwe by a driver in a people mover van, just Clare and I, Tip the driver. He leaves you at the border, then a company employee takes your bags from the van and puts them …
