... going down the road. On Tuesday we took a ride on the scooter, stopped for lunch, and when we came out the scooter would not start. Now we have to get it fixed. Fortunately there was a surplus store next door for us to waste some time hoping the scooter would star if we waited, it didn't. Bill hitchhiked back to the Casino to get the truck, Bonnie waited with the scooter.

... by a wonderful pyrotechnic display coupled with the loud thunder letting us know that with the lightening, there always follows the drums of thunder. Never mind it passed and the Castle is well capable and equipped to handle this passing fun parade of nature. We woke to see more deer and wild turkeys within the camping area, again a great thing to experience. Onwards for our South Eastern trek with the wind not letting up and we are sure it is not far from the ice cap with the chill ...
Duncan, Oklahoma, United States popusa2008We awoke to a rather grey morning and after a quick pack-up were on the road before 9am. After stopping in Clarendon for ice we travelled south easterly down highway 287 towards Memphis (Texas). On the way there was a rest area and as we needed to use a phone we decided to stop. Top marks to Donley County for a superb facility. The toilets were spotless, the phone worked and there was even free wi-fi which we used to check ...
Duncan, Oklahoma, United States thebusmonkeysThe past three weeks have been full of hundreds of tasks leading up to my eventual flight to India on March 30th. Everything you can think of from closing accounts, changing addresses, selling my car, seeing friends in Tulsa, seeing family in Florida to enjoying my favorite restaurants before subjecting my body to Indian food for two years. One thing that I was indeed looking forward to was the going away party for family my parents in Oklahoma were throwing for me ...
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States bwulzHi, We made it to our hotel in the city of Golden on the west side of town. The trip was easy. We ate at Chili's on the way to the hotel. Alayna noticed several people she had seen at the airport and I saw lots of Texas shirts. It's raining in Denver which hopefully means it's snowing in the mountains.

Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States peterhodgeThe date is approximate, but after a year of dating Stephen, I finally got to make a trip with him up to Lawton to visit his parents at their home. We had a great time and I met Eliza, Stephen's niece, for the first time. I believe she was 2 or 3 years old and she was a bundle of energy. Very cute. We saw buffalo and went out to eat a lot. Stephen's parents have always been extremely kind and generous.
