Our flight from Quito was delayed which meant we missed our connection and spent a night in Miami to catch an early flight the next day. In our already relaxed state of mind we just rolled with the punches and got to Montego Bay a day later than planned, no biggie.

... what I expected. Expansive pools with the water park/slides on the side. A larger RedLane Spa than Sandals Negril (nice, very nice). 9 treatment rooms + a couples massage room. They also offer a very nice 2nd floor waiting room for couples.

Well, very nearly at the end of this blog now. Later today we will transfer to Montego Bay airport, and (all being well) take off for the UK at 7.05pm tonight. We should be back at Gatwick for 10am Sunday.

Hi all

Just a quick update. It's Friday morning, and we've just had breakfast. As ever at this time of the day, the sky is a brilliant blue and the sun warm. The view out over the Carribean was spectacular.

This is our final full day on honeymoon, which is sad. Tomorrow evening we fly back to London, arriving at Gatwick at 10am Sunday morning.

We've had a lovely time since arriving here. Wednesday was largely spent relaxing and swimming in / jumping ...

I spent almost a week in Negril, a long stretch of beaches along the western tip of Jamaica. Very popular with tourists. I walked the beach several times and I've been annoyed by the "farmers" and the like on a regular basis. They are sometimes aggressive. Better to walk along the road than the beach at night to/from the restaurant for obvious reasons. Nice sunsets.

... which was the same as we had paid in Cuba for all day with lunch and 2 tourist spots. However when we arrived at the river we were taken to the cashier to pay for the boat ride. It was all a bit rushed as the boat was ready to go, but at the conclusion of the tour we tackled the driver - he advised the boat trip wasn't included in the deal.
