... in Taiwan so he will be glad of the peace after we leave tomorrow! It has been great staying with Sam, he has been a wonderful host and has really taken care of us. His girlfriend, Ginny, has been very welcoming to us too and we've thoroughly enjoyed our time in Kaohsiung. Hopefully it won't be another 6 years til we see Sam again!
The internet here is not good so I can't upload any pics but there are some on Facebook that I posted today.
... out of the ground due to natural gas coming up through the rocks. We're back at Sam's apartment now and we're going to have a quiet night in. Tomorrow he has some more sightseeing around Kaohsiung planned for us and we're also going to be visiting Ginny's family.

We've finally arrived in Taiwan! The plane trip to Kaohsiung was surprisingly short, although it was two hours long. Oh, the time flies! After we landed, we took a bus ride to the E-DA mall and went shopping. The mall was beautiful, and ...
Not too bad, huh? I'm not quite sure how Taipei looks like. But Kaohsiung shouldn't be bad, considering its status as the second largest city in Taiwan.
I am not sure if the water water is actually the port side of Kaohsiung or the 'River of Love'. But from the width, it should be the port.
