We then continued south towards Kaohsiung. We stopped off at two places - Moon World (which had a moon like landscape. Interestingly there were only 2 other tourists there. It was quite undeveloped as a tourist hotspot, in fact they were still ‘beatifying’ it and the walk to the top to see a ‘moon lake’ was an anticlimax because it was nothing special ...
... Kendo at a training centre which was really cool - it's a branch of samurai so there was lots of sword wielding! Next up, we went down to the port area and visited the former British consulate building which is now an art gallery, shop, and cafe with only a small display explaining the building's history.

... out of the ground due to natural gas coming up through the rocks. We're back at Sam's apartment now and we're going to have a quiet night in. Tomorrow he has some more sightseeing around Kaohsiung planned for us and we're also going to be visiting Ginny's family.

After checking out the temple it was time to catch our train to Kaohsiung. Sam was there to pick us up at the other end and we checked out a night market and had a bite to eat before heading back to Sam's place. He has a very stylish apartment and we've got our own ensuite room which is great! Tomorrow we're heading to the beach at Kenting National Park with Sam and his girlfriend.
