          ... parking lot from the Alishan visitors centre. You pick up tickets for this bus at a small restaurant just around the corner from the 7-11. If you ask them they can direct you. This second bus is about 40 minutes, and deposits you at the Tataka visitors centre, which is about a 1km walk from the hostel.

          ... certainly be in the top 3 of our list of the worst hotels.
          We decided to walk around town and tasted some nice tea together with excellent information about Taiwanese tea. We got a view of the less than spectacular sunset but a nice show of clouds rolling in at the base of the mountain.

          The driver from the B&B actually suggested that we should have lunch first and we followed his recommendation and had lunch at the local 7 Eleven. It was actually pretty good.

          ... After food I was hailed by another group of jolly Taiwanese folk and they 'forced' me to do Karaoke with them! After singing a few cheesy tunes and dancing the cha-cha-cha (?!!) I was pretty spent and headed back again. What a random night...! The next morning was beautiful, crisp and clear.           got up early, had a bite to eat and was over to my other hostel early. arrived and they invited me for a huge breakfast that they cooked for the wedding goers. after eating, visited the railway garage, prison tour, ate slushie, fish soup and turkey rice.
