Day in Lukang and then moving on

A travel blog entry by sting on Sep 27, 2014

spent saturday wandering Lukang. It was a crazy day of parades with all of the temples organizing groups dressed in various themes... tons of firecrackers. accomodation is super booked up, so have to move on to Chiayi in the evening as my hostel is booked out for a birthday. The hostel I want in Chiayi is also booked for a wedding so have to stay at another place and switch tomorrow.

Tea, bananas (of course, since we are at the banana hostel), toast, jam and yogurt (I bought at the store the night before). Next we lazily got ready, and left the banana hostel for the high speed train. This required going back to the main station via metro. Once we arrived we were pleased to catch the train to Chiayi that left ...

Day 2! Today we checked out of the hotel and took a bus to Ten Drum Culture Village. We played traditional drums and got to try sugarcane juice. After that, we had lunch, and bought souvenirs at the souvenir shop. Then our bus took us to Chitou Natural Ecological and Education Area. It was so foggy since we were so high up! We hiked up to the giant tree, ...
