got up early, had a bite to eat and was over to my other hostel early. arrived and they invited me for a huge breakfast that they cooked for the wedding goers. after eating, visited the railway garage, prison tour, ate slushie, fish soup and turkey rice.
spent saturday wandering Lukang. It was a crazy day of parades with all of the temples organizing groups dressed in various themes... tons of firecrackers. accomodation is super booked up, so have to move on to Chiayi in the evening as my hostel is booked out for a birthday. The hostel I want in Chiayi is also booked for a wedding so have to stay at another place and switch tomorrow.
... We ended up hitting a lot of traffic once Rick got off so he arrived shortly after I did. There was a bit of confusion about which bus we were suppose to get on, mostly because the
timetable printed at the door wasn't very accurate, and all other explanations were in Chinese. We are pretty smart though and went with our best guess and showed the driver our high speed train tickets from our trip the day before and he nodded that ...
Following a wonderful, >6 hours of sleep, Rick and I walked up the extra 2 flights of stairs to the hot, top floor of the hostel to get some breakfast. Tea, bananas (of course, since we are at the banana hostel), toast, jam and yogurt (I bought at the store the night before). Next we lazily got ready, and left the banana hostel for the high speed train. This required going back to the main station via metro. ... walked on the skywalk. Later on, we walked down to the Japanese Monster Village and had half an hour of free time. When all the fun was over, the bus took us to the Le Midi Hotel Chitou. After having dinner, most kids went down to the arcade to loosen up after the long day. Tomorrow, we leave Chitou for Puli!
