Haircuts and heat

For the second time in GZ, I needed a haircut.

Last year, this was a very painless process, as I found a good place on the first go. However, my first attempt here wasn't quite as good, and I ended up with way too short a cut, especially on the fringe!

So today I decided to try another hairdresser at Nan Guo Ao Yuan (my apartment complex) as there are at least 5 of them here.

I enjoyed the experience today, and will go back to the place again - started ...

Here's a tip - don't take a flight to China and lose your passport before you even get off the plane. I did and it looked like the start of a major Australio-Chinese incident.

Just after we landed I realised that I did not know where I'd put my passport. "Perhaps it was stolen," I suggested quitely to Steven. He wasn't buying it and called a steward for assistance.

When I arrived in GZ last Nov, I was given an intro pack which included a 'Things to Do' section, and a visit to the Chen Family Temple / Chen Clan Academy / Chen Clan Ancestral Hall is at the top of the list. As I have now been here for 6 1/2 months, now seemed like a good time to go and have a look. And yes, it is known by various names
